An Australian couple found themselves in an awkward and tough predicament when a man bidding on their home refused to close on the deal unless he could also have their cat.
According to Gawker, the potential home buyer’s child “fell in love” with Tiffany the cat while doing a walkthrough of the house, and the buyer would not sign the contract unless he also got the cat for his child. so, the couple agreed to include their cat Tiffany in the sale for an extra $140,000.
The Australian couple told reporters that Tiffany is now “the most expensive cat in Australia,”according to Gawker. The couple also said they are considering getting a new cat once they move. They also have two dogs, two rabbits and fish, but did not tell reporters how much money they would accept for those pets.
